Ravenside retail park has been closed due to large metal roof sheeting coming loose in the strong winds, according to Hastings Police.

Police and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene.

The Met Office has released an amber weather warning for the storm, which has seen powerful winds reaching speeds of up to 80mph today.

The warning is active until 11am, but the Met Office warns there will be likely disruption to transport and power supplies and some damage to buildings.
