Bexhill scouts' adventure of a lifetime

FOUR Scouts from Bexhill will be among colleagues from across the county who are setting off for the adventure of a lifetime.

Some 40,000 other Scouts from all over the world, at the World Scout Jamboree taking place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex, from tomorrow.

The contingent will see their months of fundraising and team-building preparations for the World Scout Jamboree come to completion. Now it's time for the excitement and expectations of the 10-day extravaganza to come to life.

A World Scout Jamboree brings together over 200 nationalities to live out all the adventure, fun and challenge the global organisation offers. They take place every four years, with this year's celebration marking the Centenary of Scouting over the 10 days.

Jonathon Black from Bexhill said: "A World Scout Jamboree is a once in a lifetime for a Scout. I'm so excited about meeting Scouts from all over the world and making lifelong friends."
