Bexhill teenagers arrested in Hastings fracas

FOUR Bexhill teenagers were arrested following a fight in Hastings in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The fracas, which occurred in Cambridge Road also resulted in three men being charged.

The group of Bexhill teenagers involved in the fight were 15-year-old girl, arrested on suspicion of using threatening words or behaviour and battery, bailed until October 16.

A 14-year-old girl, arrested on suspicion of a public order offence, bailed until October 13 and a 15-year-old girl received a reprimand for using threatening words or behaviour.

A 16-year-old boy, also from Bexhill, arrested on suspicion of affray and robbery, was bailed until October 20.

More serious charges were bought against Nicky Warnes, 31, of Caves Road, St Leonards-on-Sea, charged with affray and GBH without intent, and Daniel Dawson, 18, of Cambridge Road, Hastings, charged with affray and possessing an offensive weapon.

Both men appeared before Hastings Magistrates on Wednesday, where they were remanded in custody until September 29.

A 15-year-old boy from Eastbourne was also charged with using threatening words or behaviour.

He appeared at Hastings Magistrates on Wednesday and was bailed to Eastbourne Youth Court on October 12 with the condition not to enter Hastings.
