Head of business analysis Gary said a recent cycling initiative inspired the mammoth challenge and everyone is looking forward to it.

“I’ve always been a keen cyclist and, along with some other members of team, cycled 1000km across Spain a few years ago,” he said.

“We’ve also regularly taken part in ‘National Cycle to Work Day’ which encouraged us to suggest cycling from Hastings Direct’s Newmarket office to our head office in Bexhill.

“We’re all really enjoying the training despite the pain and exhaustion – but it’s all worth it to raise money for such great local charity”.

Homecall aims to give independence back to those who are visually impaired or blind with regular visits and support.
