BID FOR CASH TO IMPROVE A259 COMET CORNER

MIDDLETON'S bid for a share of highway improvements cash has been supported by Yapton Parish Council.

Middleton Parish Council has put in for a share of the 1 million available for highway improvements arising from the policy site 6 development at Felpham and has the strong support of Yapton Parish Council.

A letter has already been sent by David Tansley, Yapton parish clerk, to the Joint Downland Area Committee highlighting the present problems at the Comet Corner junction.

Both parishes believe that the problems will be exacerbated by a significant increase in traffic using the A259 Bognor Regis to Littlehampton road when the new housing in Felpham comes on stream.
