Representatives from East Sussex County Council gave a presentation at the meeting yesterday outlining what such a move could mean.

The partnership’s purpose is to improve quality of services and upgrade facilities and is made up of interested parties. Hastings QBP was set up in 2002 under a voluntary agreement with the county and borough councils, as well as Stagecoach.

County council representatives said the upcoming opening of the Bexhill-Hastings Link Road would create new opportunities for bus services between the two towns.
