Big break for Littlehampton’s Bodyshock street dancers

BEING spotted by the right people has landed Littlehampton dancers with a big break.

Members of Bodyshock Dance Company were asked by DJ and producer Krafy Kuts to be in his latest music video, Pounding, which has been screened on MTV. Monira Kaouech, 19, is one of those who took part, after being spotted at the company’s annual show.

Suzy Mills, who runs Bodyshock, said: “When I first met Monira, she lacked confidence in herself as a dancer and to watch her grow into a successful career makes me feel very proud.”

Taking part in the show was testament enough to their talent, she added.

“I am so proud of Monira and all the Bodyshock dancers who performed in front of packed audiences of more than 300 family and friends. It can be quite daunting if you have never performed in public before. They have always exceeded my expectations and delivered an outstanding and highly professional show.”

She went on to say the company, which has been based at the Flintstone Centre, in East Street, since its inception seven years ago, was on the move.

“We have moved the venue to the Littlehampton Girlguiding Centre, in Dukes Street. This is an exciting new launch, in a new venue central to Littlehampton town. We are also expanding the company by starting a new class at the Chichester Nuffield Health Centre at the Chichester Gate Complex.”
