The Fete De Newhaven will have a cycling theme as it coincides with the Tour of Britain on Saturday September 13.
Organisers Newhaven Community Development Association said the fete will take place in Newhaven High Street from 9am to 4pm.
The event will include the Newhaven Saturday Market, community group stalls to include the Ouse Valley Cycle Network, which will be promoting the new cycle path and Halfords will promote cycling and will be offering simple bike repairs.
Sustainable cycling charity Sustrans will promote local projects and are hoping to bring a smoothie bike.
Wave Leisure are bringing exercise bikes for people to try out and Ovesco are bringing along an electricity producing bike.
The Think Bike stunt team will put on three 25 minute displays in Newhaven Square and there will also be live music.
The Fete de Newhaven is an annual event and will run from 9am to 4pm.
It is now in its ninth year and will include live entertainment.
Organisers decided to hold the fete on the same day as the Tour of Britain and give the event a cycling theme.
The Tour of Britain will feature former Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins.
It is Britain’s biggest cycling race and the Sussex Stage of the race will see riders speeding through Seaford and Newhaven, heading up the C7 through Piddinghoe and Southease and then into Lewes.
The Sussex Stage will then push on up over Ditchling Beacon before finishing on Madeira Drive in Brighton.
It is estimated the riders will begin to arrive in Newhaven at about 2pm.
