Biker is injured incrash involving aStaplecross driver

A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after he was involved in a collision in Hastings with a vehicle driven by a man from Staplecross.

The 28-year-old man was riding along St Helen’s Road just before 4pm on Saturday when his Kawazaki ZX400 machine was in collision with a blue Citroen Saxa car.

The motorcyclist, who is from Hastings, sustained multiple injuries.

He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, where he has been detained for treatment.

The car driver, a 31-year-old man from Staplecross, and his front-seat passenger, a 23-year-old woman from Hastings, were both unhurt.

St Helen’s Road was closed between its junctions with Parkstone Road and Ashford Road for several hours while emergency services were on scene.

Police are appealing fro information on the collisiion.
