Billingshurst tip has been shut after firefighterst tackled a blaze at the site.

Crews were first called to the Newbridge Road recycling centre around 2pm today, May 10.
A fire service spokesman said: “Fire engines from Billingshurst and Horsham are currently on scene and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are turning over and damping down to ensure there are no further signs of fire.
“The site has been safely evacuated and remains closed.”
Residents living nearby are being urged to keep their doors and windows closed for the time being.
