Edward Brunger, an 18 year old young man from Battle, East Sussex, has been given a new, state-of-the-art, powered wheelchair to boost his mobility, thanks to fundraising by customers and staff of Beacon Bingo in Margate.

Edward, who lives with his mother, Shirley, has a severe form of Cerebral Palsy and a very limited ability to move his limbs, whilst his upper body movement is also decreasing with age. He’s currently awaiting surgery for later this year to improve mobility in his shoulders and wrists to make life more comfortable. He was presented with his new electric wheelchair, provided by the charity CHIPS, at Beacon Bingo on Marine Terrace in Margate, yesterday [Monday 31 March].
