Throughout the birthday celebrations on Wednesday, September 30, children enjoyed a large teacup ride, and inflatable activity run along with folk country dancing sessions led by the ladies of “Folk Active”.

The fairground attraction theme tied in with a Year Six project, in which students were studying the mechanics of fairground rides.

The Mayor of Bognor Regis, Cllr Jeanette Warr, joined the celebrations by chatting to the children and cutting the birthday cake during assembly.

One mum helped out with providing glitter tattoos throughout the day, and another mum sold traditional sweets to the parents after school.

Several local businesses donated prizes to the celebration, including a team from Tesco in Bognor Regis, who spent the day with the children and presented the school with an iced cake, two Hudls, ice cream and sauces and ingredients for cooking classes.

Head teacher, Katie Jarveis, asked pupils from Years Three and Four to write a report detailing their experiences of the day.
