Birthday treat in store at Hotham

Two days of fun in Bognor Regis will mark the tenth birthday of Hotham Park Heritage Trust.

The enjoyment is based around the Lodge by the park's entrance off the A259.

The building has been refurbished as part of the major restoration scheme giving the park a new chapter in its history.

This is being achieved with lottery money secured by the trust in keeping with its volunteers' aims of conserving, protecting and improving the park.

Future plans include planting for the refurbished ornamental pond, extra play equipment and educational facilities.

Trust minutes secretary Karen McCreedy said: "We are fortunate to have such a large woodland park in the centre of our town.

"The birthday weekend will not only be a great opportunity to learn more about its history and its future but a chance to join the trust and help save this unique heritage for future generations."
