Bishop’s ceremony will dedicate Battle of Lewes stone at Plumpton Cross

Plumpton will on Wednesday, May 14, mark the village’s association with the Battle of Lewes.

At 6pm the Bishop of Chichester will dedicate the commemorative stone at Plumpton Cross on the face of the South Downs.

This will be followed at 7.15pm by a service at St Michael’s Church and at 8pm by a hog roast at Plumpton College with medieval demonstrations.
