MAY FAIR: The Bishopstone May Fair drew crowds of people to Bishopstone Village last Saturday. The fair was opened by Fr Trevor of St Andrew’s Church, Bishopstone. The event started with dancing around the May Pole by the Lindy School of Dancing followed by a performance from the Lewes, Glynde and Beddingham Brass Band who also played music during the afternoon. The Bond School of Dance then gave a lovely dance display. There was a variety of stalls, a raffle and an impressive tombola, plus visiting charities and local crafts came together with Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Owl’s Out and About. People enjoyed bacon rolls, clotted cream teas and home made cakes… Seaford Life Guards covered First Aid and The Seaford Bonfire Society helped with setting up and clearing away. More next week.
