Bishopstone Village Fair will be a right royal do

A TRADITIONAL Sussex day out is guaranteed when Bishopstone stages its annual Village Fair on Saturday April 30.

It will be held between 1pm and 4pm on the village green behind St Andrew’s Church in the beautiful downland village.

The fair is organised by Bishopstone management committee and it is their main fundraiser to help with the maintenance of the Parish Hall.

Musical entertainment during the afternoon will be provided by LGB Brass and the Wendy Mann School of Performing Arts.

The cake, plant and book stalls are old favourites, along with games like hoopla, bubbly spin and target ball.

There will also be birds of prey, the model railway and woodturning.

A barbecue will be sizzling while tea and homemade cakes served in the hall.

St Andrew’s Church, dating back to the 7th century, will be open to visitors.

Look out for our ‘special’ guests, local charities and businesses.

Event spokesperson Di Moreton said: “This is a day for all the family and it will be a right royal do!”
