Blown fuse sparks small 'explosion' at Brighton station
The incident happened at around 9.35am, and reportedly saw sparks fly out from under a train.
One passenger tweeted Southern saying: "So I saw an explosion at Brighton Station this morning... anyone know what happened? Didn't fancy sticking around... @SouthernRailUK #Brighton."

Hide AdAnother said: "Big bang as I left #Brighton station this morning followed by plume of smoke. Looked like an engine backfire or something. #brightonstation."
But British Transport Police said: "We have checked with officers in Brighton and can confirm the loud noise was made by a fuse blowing on the underside of a train. They double checked - nothing to worry about!"
