Blue Wave Club makes its debut

A new event for people with learning disabilities in Chichester and Bognor Regis is being launched next week.

Its first session will take place at Club Vision on Bognor Regis pier next Wednesday, February 20.

The club will feature DJs Chris Love and Richard West as well as live music from rock band Beat Express.

Film screenings from youth and community film production specialist Junk TV will add to the enjoyment.

Members of the Apuldram Centre will also be giving a live performance on the night to show the benefits of their creative workshops with arts company Carousel.

Inspire Leisure, Arun District Council's leisure operator, and Chichester District Council have organised the club through the West Sussex Arts Partnership.

Chichester District Council's culture and sport portfolio holder, Cllr Nick Thomas said: "The Blue Wave Club is a fantastic opportunity for those with learning disabilities to participate in club culture and make new friends at the same time."

The Blue Wave Club will be open from 7pm-10pm. The venue is fully wheelchair-accessible.
