Blushing brides take to Bognor beach

IT WAS a case of the bigger, the whiter, the better as Bognor Regis was invaded by a group of blushing brides.

Despite the chilly day more 30 brides and bridesmaids braved the cold to take part in the second annual Brides on Bognor Beach event.

The spectacle which was organised by local photographer Paul Inskip created quite a stir as he could be seen being chased in and out of local shops and landmarks.

“At first people thought it was a wedding until they realised it was all brides,” he said.

As well as touring the town, visiting the beach, and even sliding down the seafront’s giant pink bouncy slide, the brides also got into the Jubilee sprit and posed with giant Union Jack flags.

“The atmosphere and fun had by everyone at this event couldn’t even be dampened by the cold wind. The sight of brides bouncing down the slide drew the biggest crowd of the day where you could barely see the brides for the crowd,” said Paul.
