Boat Blaze
FIREFIGHTERS struggled to reach a torched boat in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Police alerted Fire Crews to the blaze after thick smoke was spotted behind the Angling Club, over the Stade. Fire crews from Bohemia and the Ridge Stations were on the scene just after midnight but locked fences caused trouble accessing the beach. The fire was eventually extinguished after crews raced around the fishing market.
The boat, a private fishing vessel, was destroyed in the blaze. Police suspect arson and are currently investigating the incident.
