Bobbys staff to hold reunion
Staff from the former Bobbys department store in Bognor Regis will be getting together again this weekend.
Haberdashery buyer Gretta Williamson has organised the reunion for 2pm on Sunday at the Hotham Park bandstand. Last year's inaugural session proved popular. Some 20 employees turned out in spite of the occasion clashing with Father's Day.
'Everybody said it was a good idea and they wanted it to happen again,' said Gretta. Anyone who wants to go along just has to turn up with a picnic, and an umbrella, for an afternoon of nostalgia.
The store at the junction of London Road and High Street was called Seasons when it closed in April 2004 having been known as Bobbys for several decades. It opened in 1920 as Staleys.
