Bodiam

Payphones: overall the use of payphones has declined by over 90% in the last decade that BT would like to remove the last two payphone kiosks from Bodiam. In Levetts Lane the number of calls in the 12 months was zero but how can you make a call when you look at the state of the kiosk? The one in the village had a total of 14 calls in the last 12 months. If anyone wishes to object they can talk to any parish councillor or respond my post to BT Payphone. 4th Floor Monument Telephone Exchange. 11-13 Great Tower Street. London. EC3R 5AQ or please contact for the planning department with any comments.

Bodiam preschool: the Bodiam preschool which is in the parish rooms is on the lookout for cooking pots and pans, utensils, sieves, colanders, bowls and spoons for the mud kitchen. Wildlife information books, bricks et cetera and lots more. If any can help phone Mel on (01580) 830615.

Parish council meeting: Bodiam parish council has some very good meetings last one was one of the best. A great many members of the public attended. The police van was outside and the chairman of the Parker Ashcombe trust is to get more chairs stop the National trust said a lot about the complaints of odour from the reed bed unit. Bodiam has put up with a lot from the National Trust not just the odour. We all hope work will start on the cesspit and reed bed and the lighting from Claremont School is still not right. The parish council will do its best to help.
