Martin Lawrence: I was sorry to learn that Martin Lawrence who was born in Bodiam has died at home in Robertsbridge. Martin will be missed by his family and friends and us all in Bodiam

Council officers: At the last meeting of the parish council Geoffrey Goodsell was re-elected to the position of chairman and Janet Gardner vice-chairman. Many members felt this is a strong chairman and vice-chairman team and not like the vicar of Dibley.

St Giles: The next service at St Giles is the family service on June 5 at 11.15. Graham Attfield will take the service.

Community Friends: Bodiam Community Friends are to have a tea and cake get-together on July 14 starting at 2pm for free at the Bodiam Recreation Ground: if wet in the pavilion.

Pre-School: Bodiam Pre-school is to have two open weeks from June 6 to June 10 and July 4 to 8, between 10am and 2pm. Do feel free to droip in on any of these days.
