Police & Crime Commissioner Elections: For the last election there was a poor turn out from the village so on the 5th May please turn out from 7a.m. to 10 p.m. to vote in the Parish Room. I urge Bodiam to vote it doesn't matter which side you favour, the right to vote is precious even today there are places where people are denied it.

5 A-side Football: takes place every Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Claremont Sports Hall. Call James on 01580 830330 for more information.

Poppy Appeal: In 2015 The British Legions Bodiam Poppy Appeal raised £840, it is some time away for the 2016 Appeal but if anyone would like to be a door-to-door collector or take a static display please let Janet know on 01580 830155.

Victor Lyne Service: What a good turnout for the service to celebrate the life of Victor Lyne on the 22nd April at St Giles with some nice readings - Miss Me but Let Me Go read by Sue Lyne, Poem For You Grandad read by Sian and the tribute by Marcus and what about the music as Victor came into church - Match of the Day, Victor for many years was part of Bodiam Football Club. As the reading said “Miss you” Bodiam will miss you Victor. Donations in memory of Victor may be made payable to The British Heart Foundation and sent c/o C. Waterhouse and Sons, High Street, Burwash. TN19 7ET. Phone 01435 882219.
