Medicine delivery: I am sure the people of Bodiam know that you can still have your medicine delivered to the Castle Inn, Bodiam, which is open seven days a week - all hours in fact - more hours and days than the surgeries, You have to be with the North Ridge Surgery in Hawkhurst to use the service.

Bus: The Bank Holiday 349 bus service starts today (Good Friday) and will run until the end of August.

The times are Hastings: 08.49; 10.49; 13.49 and 15.49. Bodiam: 09.28; 11.28; 14.28; and 16.28.

Hawkhurst: 09.43; 11.43; 14.43 and 16.43.

And back to Hastings from Hawkhurst: 09.46; 11.46; 14.46 and 16.46. Bodiam: 10.01; 12.01; 15.01 and 17.01. Hastings: 10.43; 12.43; 15.43 and 17.43.

Bodiam Parish Council Assembly: was very good. It was good to have a report from the little people from our Bodiam Church of England Primary School; Bodiam Pre-school group and many others. I must say a big thank you for the refreshments and small buffet. What two great Rother councillors we have in Sue Prochak and dear old Graham Browne, who will go on to great things in Rother but does need help.

Moon Walk: Tony and Lynsey Willard and Kate Water are doing the 26 mile London Moon Walk on May 14 in memory of Vera Sims, a very special lady who was a big part of Bodiam. Vera was sadly taken from us on October 9 2013 after a brave fight against cancer.

The Moon Walk would like to get sponsors so ring Tony and Lynsey on 01580 830935. Please do all you can to support Tony, Lynsey and Kate. It would be great to get a lot of money in memory of Vera.
