Survey: thank you to everyone who answered the parish news survey. The editor is delighted to report that the news will stay the same but would like the magazine not to be published in digital and an even balance of editorial and advertising

Guinness: 2016 I am told marks of the 40th anniversary since Guinness left Bodiam and left Bodiam to get on with it. Perhaps Guinness did too much for the village? Village Green cut and Levetts Lane Green cut, the churchyard and lots more and some today say that Guinness would not let it look like it does now. Perhaps some people could help in one of the best villages in East Sussex! If it was not for the Castle Inn and the great Bodiam Castle would have a village?

Bishop visit: Do not forget the Bishop of Lewes, the Reverend Richard Jackson, will take the service on March 6 at Saint Giles (Mothering Sunday) at 11:15. While the vicar of Bodiam Gordon is indisposed all enquiries to the churchwarden. I am sure Gordon and Judy would appreciate cards and letters, this can be of help to know that people do care.

One Love: I am told Valentine’s Day, February 14, costs an estimated £530 million on cards and gifts. I can see that! Like me I send out 20 to 30 cards and a meal plus post - just get one back, perhaps!
