Bodiam

BONFIRE AND FIREWORKS: What a great bonfire and fireworks was had a the Castle Inn on November 14 and, with most cars in the National Trust car park, there were no cars right up to the primary school. Perhaps, in time, the Castle Inn will do the car park seven days a week. It was also good to see the PCSO at the bonfire.

PARISH COUNCIL: Next meeting of the parish council is on December 7 at 7pm in The Parish Room. This will be the last meeting before Christmas but at all times the parish councillors are on duty. Public participation at the meeting is from 7.30pm to 7.40pm.

CHURCH SERVICES: Next service at St Giles is on December 6 at 11.15am. Gordon will take the service, who is vicar of Bodiam. Dates for the diary: December 20 is the Carols by Candlelight at 6pm. Christmas Day has a Communion Service at 11.15am. St Giles does not have an organist and the organ needs to be exercised and played regularly. So a big chance to fulfil the dream you may have.

FOOTBALL: Sad to see FC Westridge, who sometimes play at Bodiam, will have only five points and are second from bottom. Come on the W.
