Birthday Girl: Pam Marsh from Levetts Lane has a big day on May 11. It is her birthday. I do hope Pam has a lot of cards and presents. She is a help to the parish council, she runs the walking bus for our primary school and when her husband died, she did not just sit and say ‘why?’ she just got on with life at a very hard time. That is very hard to do. Have a very good time Pam, and please keep up your good works in Bodiam.

You could get the freedom of Bodiam from the parish council, but you already have that.

Charity Run: Viv, the parish clerk for Bodiam is to do a half marathon on June 14 in St Albans for Cancer Research. I have a number of sponsor forms for Viv, phone me on 01580 830211 if you would like one, or just to sponsor her.

Bus service: Oh dear, Mr Stagecoach, why did you not put out publicity about your bank holiday bus service 349 on the last Bank Holiday. I am now told by ESCC that Stagecoach will run (we hope) every bank Holiday up the August one.
