Doctors: Some of the village go to The Wish Valley Surgery in Hawkhurst but on March 1 Dr Clive Dewing will not offer routine face to face consultations with patients on a Monday surgery and will not be available for routine enquiries. He will continue to do minor surgery. Dr Jo Christophers will take his place.

Hop Farm lunch: The Guinness hop farms lunch this year will be on March 5 at noon for lunch that will be served at 12.45pm and will take place to The Castle Inn, opposite the castle. There is no charge for Guinness pensioners but you will be required to pay £6 for the person who accompanies you.

Parish Council: Dates for your diary, the next parish council meeting is on February 23 at 7pm in the Parish Room

Uniform groups: I had a call the other day from Rhiannon, the village voice correspondent for Brede about the Guiding section, Brownies, Scouts, Clubs and Beavers. if anyone would like to join, call me as i have the numbers of the groups.
