Bodiam

Lantern making: Lantern making takes place at Claremont School on November 8 from 10am - 3pm. Please come along as this is a great chance for children to be involved in a Bodiam tradition. The lanterns will be paraded at Bodiam Bonfire on November 14. All the equipment for pumpkin making will be provided and the cost is £3 per lantern.

Estate Action Day: Today is the big day for Levetts Lane with Estate Action Day taking place between 10am and 2pm. AmicusHorizon have a lot of information to share and there will be entertainment for all including face-painting. Rother Safer Partnership will be involved and there will be a chance to meet the housing officer. A large skip will be there for people to put unwanted household items into.

Mobile Library: The next date for the mobile library to come to Levetts Lane is November 13 from 3.05pm - 3.20pm.

Remembrance Sunday: takes place on November 9 with a service at 10.58am at St Giles and 12 noon at the Village War Memorial. Gordon will take all the services and collectors will, I am sure, be around the village for the Poppy Appeal. When you give you are asked to bear in mind that the men and women you support put their lives on the line for us all every day.

Fireworks Night: for the village takes place in the Castle Inn garden on November 14 at 6.30pm. A lantern parade will take place. For more information call 01580 830330.
