No Mothering Sunday Service at St Giles on March 30. Next service Bodiam will have to go up to Ewhurst Green for the 9.30am service or 6pm evening praise at Staplecross. The next service is on April 6 and will be the family service with refreshments at St Giles at 11.15am. The Easter services: Good Friday 11.15am and Easter Sunday 11.15am.

Soon William Past and his family will move to Staplecross. William is the premises manager at Bodiam Castle. His family association with Bodiam goes back to 1917, but William grew up with the castle as his playground (what a playground). He remembers parachuting an Action Man off the top tower into the castle. What will the National Trust do with William’s home? Perhaps more offices or rent it out for some high return.
