Do please go and vote on November 15 for the election of the Police and Crime Commissioner for the Sussex Police area. Polling station is the Parish Room, Sandhurst Road, Bodiam, and polling hours are 7am to 10pm.

The National Trust is in the process of reducing fossil fuel consumption, which means that Bodiam Castle will be a part of the aim to reduce consumption by 20 per cent by 2020. To help, turn off lights, computers and monitors. The Trust is looking into rewiring the castle so the castle lights can be turned off at night. And there will be les biscuits for all staff. All this will help. And recycling. More to follow soon.

The next visits of the mobile library to Levetts Lane is on November 8 from 3.05-3.30pm.

The cricket club has a website, www.bodiamcricketclub.com to keep everyone informed of news and information about the indoor cricket season. Last season the club finished third in division one and fourth in the mid-week first division league.

There will be an extraordinary general meeting of the Levetts Lane Residents’ Association on Monday November 12. This will be to discuss whether the association will be able to continue due to key members of the committee who would like to step down. The meeting starts at 7.30pm.
