Bodiam

I have just come home from the harvest service at St Giles and was very sorry not to see children of the Bodiam Church of England Primary School sing and perform. To me the church seems to wish to strengthen the links with the primary school. But I ask, does the primary school?

The Remembrance Sunday Service at St Giles is at 11am not 11.15am on November 11 and afterwards, around about noon, at the village war memorial.

The Bodiam Pre-School jumble sale, also with a raffle and refreshments, takes place on October 19, 2-3.30pm, in the Parish Room. A big welcome to all.

I have some news pf the seat that was on the grass outside the Parish Room. That is run by the Parker Ashcombe Almshouse Trust, not the Parish Council. A lady had taken it away for repairs and did not tell anyone and so all felt it had been stolen and told the police. The lady would like to apologise to Sussex Police, the parish council, Parker Ashcombe and the pre-school for all the extra work she has put on them that the organisations did not need.

If anyone can help George Bailey, who does need help, with this year’s Poppy Appeal, call 01580 831331.
