A team of four contestants individually attempt to amass as much money as possible, which will later be added to a prize fund if the contestant survives their individual chase.

The Chaser’s job is to catch each contestant during their individual chase, eliminating that person from the game and preventing the money from being added to the collective prize fund.

Any contestants who survive their individual chase later play collectively as a team for an equal share of the prize fund against the Chaser.

Lauren said: “I got on the show by applying on the ITV website. I then participated in a group audition before being put on a shortlist for the show and finally being asked to film.

“It was a great experience. I love quizzes in general but to film a TV show is an experience all of its own. The crew make you feel very welcome and even if I had won nothing, the day would have been a positive one.

“The hardest part was definitely the multiple choice round. It was very pressurised and it was so easy to second guess yourself. The most enjoyable was the final round when the chaser was answering his questions. Working as a team to push him back was great fun and you almost forgot where you were.”

Lauren features on The Chase on Wednesday (June 17) at 5pm.
