Bishop Martin, the new bishop of Chichester, is to visit literally every parish in his diocese to give him a good grass roots feeling for what the whole diocese is about. The day begins at St James, Ewhurst Green, at 8.30am. Everyone is welcome from Bodiam with a short, simple service of morning prayer at 10.15am. Bishop Martin is due at St Giles, Bodiam at 10.45am. It’s important that as many as possible come along to greet the bishop on October 4. It would be good for the bishop to remember that people more than the building. The harvest service at St Giles is on October 6 at 11.15am.

The last outdoor cricket fixture takes place on September 29 away to Beckley with a start of 1pm.
