THE village cricket club are away to Hartfield, 11-a-side K/O, minimum two games with 10am start.

Sorry to hear that Roger Smith, who was a full time milkman that took in Bodiam, has died. This was when the milkman found time for everyone, who now just likes to get his round finished and back to bed after he starts his round at 1am.

Claremont Senior School in the village is delighted to announced that its new £1.5m sports hall development is on track to be completed in August. This new multi-purpose, modern sport facility is an excellent versatile space that accommodates indoor/five-a-side football and lots more. For any further information, or to make a booking contact Emma Beaumont on 01424 751555.

I have felt for some time that we must have a police station and a hospital in the village. A new resident who went to hospital in a bit of a hurray the other Sunday, Phyllis Landels. If we had a hospital in Bodiam, just how much time we could save. The police station could just be open at weekends perhaps.

The mobile library comes to Levetts Lane on June 27 from 3pm to about 3.25pm.
