Bodiam village voice

WHAT a weekend Bodiam had on September 8/9. We had the Hop Pickers Weekend at the Kent and East Sussex Railway at the Bodiam station and the Bodiam Castle Sprint Triathalon.

A fantastic venue for the event, but it would be good if the National Trust was to talk about big events, to the parish council and to the people of Bodiam. Also at St Giles Church, a National Trust Study Day. Let’s hope all the events made money. That is what it is all about.

The cricket club is away to Hurst Green on September 23, start at 1pm. The Corner Carpet Company sponsors the club.

Claremont Senior School is to have an open day on October 13, 9.30am-1pm. For more information phone 01580 830396.

The mobile library comes to Levetts Lane on October 4 and every other Thursday from 3.05-3.30pm. For more information phone 01273 481000.

The next meeting of the parish council is on September 24, 7pm in the Parish Room.
