I did not get it right. Bodiam had the Parish News for August on August 19 and with it the September news. Sorry about the confusion.

A date for your diary: The Harvest Festival at St Giles will take place on October 7 at 11.15am.

The Ewhurst, Staplecross and Bodiam Garden Society hold their Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Show on Saturday September 8 at 2pm at Staplecross Village Hall.

Parish Council meetings take place on September 24; October 29; November 19 and December 3 and in 2013 on January 21 and February 25. There will be a Finance Meeting on January 10.

All meetings take place in the Parish Room and start at 7pm.

The Cricket Club are away to Rotherfield on Sunday starting at 1.30pm.

Sorry to hear about William’s daughter who had a car accident at Flimwell, but glad to report she was not badly hurt.

After some time of delivering papers to Bodiam, Pages Newsagents of Cranbrook have taken the decision to stop delivering from September 2 and Jackie’s News, of Tenterden, will take over the round.

It is good to know that some of the drivers, who have been so reliable over the years, are transferring to Jackie’s.
