The surveys are due to start on August 20. The surveyors will be carrying an identity badge and a letter of authority from Amicus Horizon. Please do not let them into your home until you have seen their identity badge and letter. If you are not happy, phone the police and they will come and take them away, we hope.

It was good to see Helen Dawson out for a walk the other day with her two wardens. Helen has not had the best of health of late. But in February 2013 she will be 90. Helen hopes to have a party on the top green of Levetts Lane. She has asked the Levetts Lane Residents Association for a tent and her very dear friend Phyllis Landels to make the egg sandwiches. Helen is also on the lookout for a small greenhouse heater for the tent as she feels it might be a bit cold in February. Helen still has a lot of work as yet to do for her party, but she will get there. She is to ask out vicar Gordon to come on the night and just sing All Things Bright and Beautiful, one of Helen’s favourite hymns.

Bank Holiday Monday will be a big day for Bodiam. The fun day in the Castle Inn Garden. To book a boot phone Tracy on 01580 830981. All boots must be booked.
