A lot of people went on the Stagecoach 349 bus service the other week to Hastings. The bus broke down just out of Sedlescombe and a bus came out to take the passengers on to Hastings railway station. And that bus had a breakdown at the Hastings railway station. The running times are poor on this service and so are the breakdowns. I have a letter from my dear friend Rachel, operations manager of Stagecoach in Hastings, of July 2011 (please bear with us, I promise that things will be improved shortly). And this is a commercial service that Stagecoach runs. All this has made two dear old friends Pam and Phyllis ill, who go to get the bus and worry how long it will take to get to Hastings, whether it will breakdown and what time it will come. And both have a point, I feel.

The Bodiam Preschool is getting very busy with 22 children on the register throughout the week and are now open all day on a Wednesday. This term there is an outing to the rock pools at Glyne Gap in Bexhill and they will celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee by having a preschool street party, and the Olympics. And do not forget the toddler group on a Tuesday afternoon from 1-3pm. The Ofsted inspection is soon to take place. So it is all go at Bodiam Preschool. For more information phone 01580 830615.
