Body found after Climping beach fire
FIREFIGHTERS discovered a man’s body while attending a car fire at Climping Beach today (Thursday, March 3).
The Littlehampton crew was called out at 5.25am this morning after reports of explosions.
The body was inside the car.
A joint investigation has been launched with Sussex Police.
Detective Inspector Trevor Bates said: “We are in the very early stages of the investigation and are working with the Coroner’s Officer and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service to establish the circumstances surrounding this death.
“The death is being treated as unexplained at this stage.”
