Body found in River Arun at Ford
A MISSING man was found dead in the River Arun today (Friday, August 21).
The body was spotted near the Ford railway bridge at about 10.40am, by a conductor on a passing train, and was located by the Sussex police helicopter. A coastguard boat from Littlehampton recovered the man, believed to be in his 50s, near Arundel Bridge.
A spokeswoman for Sussex police said that he had been reported missing in the last 24 hours, and that the death was not being treated as suspicious.
