Body Junction taster day

A taster day will be held at Body Junction on SaturdayJanuary 26 to give people the chance to try out different therapies on offer.

Body Junction, in Sutherland Avenue, is home to a wide range of therapy, from Indian Head Massage and pilates to hypnotherapy and reflexology.

Owner Charlotte Farrant will be giving visitors the opportunity to experience a piece of equipment which she calls "The Reformer".

She said: "We have had it here since May and it is fantastic for balance. You put people on it and you can see instantly where their strengths or weaknesses are, if they are slightly off-kilter on one side, or if one side is stronger than the other. It is good for posture and alignment."

Charlotte will be offering 25 minute sessions on the Reformer, while also in the studio will be Larry Clift who does sports massage, and chiropodist Naomi Creasey who is new to Body Junction.

All proceeds from the taster day will go to help staff member Sally Newell is to climb Mount Kilimanjaro on behalf of charity Plan UK, which was established in 1937 and works with children and their communities in nearly 50 countries to defeat poverty.

Anyone interested in finding out about future taster days or therapies at the centre can call on 01424 215300.
