Body of Chichester chef who died in Syria recovered

The body of a Chichester chef who died fighting in Syria has been recovered, according to the Foreign Office.

Ryan Lock, 20, was killed on December 21 during a battle for the IS stronghold of Raqqa.

A Foreign Office spokesperson said: “Our sympathies are with Ryan Lock’s family at this very difficult time.

“We are in contact with them and have provided advice to them on repatriation of his body.”
