Bognor duo's accolade for excellent service to town

MP Nick Gibb and Cllr Jason Passingham have been presented with the Britten Award for their contributions to Bognor Regis.

Mr Gibb, shadow schools secretary, was awarded for his years of service to the area, with Cllr Passingham recognised for his work as chairman of the Seafront Lights Committee.

Chairman of Bognor Regis District Chamber of Commerce, Nick Stuart-Nicholson, praised the two winners during the presentation at Bognor Regis Town Hall on October 16.

He said: "This year it is our absolute pleasure to recognise and acknowledge the dedication and outstanding service to Bognor Regis of councillor Jason Passingham for his work as chairman of the Seafront Lights Committee and our very own member of parliament, Nick Gibb, for what is in fact many, many years of total commitment to our town."
