Bognor home raises record funds

A garden party at a Bognor Regis home became a record breaker.

The event at Cherington, the home for elderly people, beat all its expectations by bringing in 180. This was four times more than previous parties.

The money will be used to provide outings or bring in entertainment for the enjoyment of all the residents. There are plans to visit Earnley Butterfly Farm at Sidlesham soon.

Previous trips have been to Arundel Wildfowl and Wetland Centre and Staunton Country Park.

Everyone was in the mood to have fun at the garden party. Relatives and friends of Cherington worked hard alongside the staff to make it such a successful afternoon. Games, competitions, entertainment and plenty to buy ensured everyone was able to take part in some way for a stimulating experience.

Staff at the Stocker Road home work hard to ensure the residents, many of whom have dementia, regularly enjoy special occasions like the party.
