Bognor Regis Birdman badges go on sale

A new badge is available for supporters of the Bognor Birdmen to wear with pride.

The event’s organisers, Barry and Jenny Jones, have ordered 500 of the lapel badges to mark the 2011 occasion.

This follows the success of last year’s initial design.

Mrs Jones said: “People loved the badges last year. One woman bought six of them for her grandchildren.”

The latest badge features the same design as last year to show the event’s symbol of a pair of outstretched wings with mascot Boggles on the tip of the right wing.

But it is coloured green compared to last year’s blue.

Mr and Mrs Jones have kept the price of the badges made by London firm Toye Kenning Spencer at £2.50 each.

They can be bought from them at 63 Victoria Drive, Bognor Regis (Tel 01243 868174), the Prom Pit Stop Cafe on the promenade opposite the Royal Norfolk Hotel and Big Love at the Rosie Lee Cafe, 160 London Road, opposite the car park.

There is also a limited number remaining of the 250 badges from 2010.
