Bognor Regis' Euro culture to be celebrated

European culture and talent will be celebrated in Bognor Regis.

The festival will take place at the Regis Centre in Belmont Street on October 15.

Throughout the day there will be stalls selling a range of goods, locally-based musicians and artists from Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Russia and England entertaining the public.

The event is a joint initiative between community group ACCORD (A Cross Cultural Organisation Recognising Diversity), Sussex Police, the Expanding Communities Project, and the Polish Catholic Mission in Bognor Regis.

ACCORD chairman Jasper Richmond said: “We hope the autumn festival will help promote understanding and acceptance between different cultural groups in the area.

“This is a great opportunity for all residents of Bognor Regis, new or old, to learn, listen and eat together.”

Children from a Polish Supplementary School, which meets weekly at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, will perform a short presentation. Other events will include dance and jazz workshops.
