Bognor Regis Library will shut for three weeks

A temporary closure will enable new equipment to be installed in Bognor Regis Library.

The library, in London Road, will shut for three weeks from 5pm on February 3 to allow new self-service machines are installed.

It will re-open at 9.30am on February 27.

It is the latest branch in West Sussex to have the modern hi-tech equipment fitted.

Readers can still borrow as many as 20 items before the temporary closure or use other nearby branches.

They include Willowhale, Chichester or Littlehampton libraries.

West Sussex County Council deputy leader Cllr Lionel Barnard, who oversees the library service, said: “The new machines are quick and easy to use and will mean an end to the long queues for borrowing items.

“Users can print off lists of their loaned books, check when something is due for return and even make any cash payments.”
