Bognor Regis youngsters hold tournament

Children at a Bognor Regis school enjoyed a knight-time with a difference.

Sir William Marshall made a return visit to Nyewood C of E Infant School from the past to join in a medieval tournament with its pupils.

Rose Calderwood, the deputy headteacher, said: “It started with a kiss! Back in January, the children were visited by Sir William.

“He was on a special mission to find a missing kiss.

“He challenged the children to find it. In order to find it, they had to crack a series of special codes.

“They held a special medieval tournament to celebrate.

“The children competed in a selection of games designed by themselves and invited Sir William to join them in their celebration,” she added.
